Catered Country Wedding
The hill-top family acreage overlooking the Fraser River in Langley BC. was the setting for Brianna and Hussein’s Napa inspired catered country wedding. The location in Langley (on the north side of highway 1) still features pristine and unspoiled countryside which was amazing to behold. Smoke from distant forest fires still lingered in an otherwise perfect day in mid-September as friends and family arrived for the outdoor wedding.
Upon arrival, guests were met with crisp glasses of prosecco and truffle buttered popcorn to set the mood for this fun-filled wedding. They then strolled along a snaking path to the edge of the bluff where the ceremony was held. As if on cue, the sun set as the 30 minute wedding ceremony took place. Absolutely perfect!
We loved executing Brianna & Hussein’s wedding menu because it was so unique. Truly a reflection of who they are as people, it featured all the food they love to eat.
The menu was one part Mexican street food with a dash of classic Southern comfort food like “Chicken & Waffles”. Guests had a blast building their own tacos served family-style while snacking on blistered “Padron Peppers” and “Crispy Brussels Sprouts”.
The love that B & H have for one another made the day very memorable for us coupled with the setting and playful menu; it was denfinitely one for the record books!

Here’s What Our Bride Had to Say About Us….
"From the moment we met Donna & the Savoury City team through our amazing wedding planner, Briar Johnston of Epic Events, we knew they were the right catering vendor for our wedding. Donna has incredible energy, and leaned right into our quirky vision! Avid wine enthusiasts and foodies with a passion for hosting dinner parties with our loved ones, we wanted our wedding reception to feel like the biggest, most elaborate dinner party of our lives. Savoury City delivered!
"From our first consultation it was clear that Donna just “got it”. She nailed our 4-course family style menu, including all of our favourite foods – from chicken and waffles to make-your-own tacos with a “his and hers” ice cream dessert (including unicorn elements!). It was delicious, unique, quirky – and totally #HueBre. Logistically, our wedding presented a significant challenge. Hosted in the 5,000 square foot underground car garage of a very under-construction private home, there was nothing predictable or normal about the environment Savoury City had to execute in. Together with an epic vendor team, they pulled off pure magic.
"We have already had the opportunity to work with Savoury City again twice since our wedding, and will absolutely work with them again. We highly recommend Savoury City for any wedding or event!"
