Sustainability is getting a lot of attention these days and for very good reason. It's no longer an option to pretend it's someone else's problem. We've addressed the issues in a forthright way from the day we first opened our doors. We have used glass platters, ceramic serving dishes and wicker baskets for all the food we send out to clients. There's less waste and the food looks so much better! We also provide our clients with the option of environmentally friendly cutlery, and will even assist a client in setting up a "green kitchen" by providing some unique ideas.

Our catering menus are designed with the seasonal availability of produce in mind. It's only seemed logical from an environmental, business and taste perspective. Just how asparagus from Mexico can be profitably sold for $1.59 Ib. in the middle of a Vancouver winter escapes me!

We're in the process of receiving official designation from ‘Green Tablegreentable.net a Vancouver-based social enterprise that works with food producers to develop a concrete environmental plan. As active members of both Slowfood International slowfood.com and FarmFolk/CityFolk, ffcf.bc.ca we have embraced their respective philosophies wholeheartedly.

We’re committed to do more for the environment by reducing our environmental footprint.
